Frequently Asked Questions

How does “Botox” work?

Neurotoxin is an anti-aging and skin smoothing solution. It is injected directly into the muscle, causing the muscle to relax and not be able to contract. The safe injections work by temporarily causing muscle weakness at the injection site, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Neurotoxin is the most frequently performed non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the United States, but has other medical applications as well. Patients seek neurotoxin treatments for migraine headaches, TMJ, hyperhidrosis and more.

Does It Hurt?

No. We use a very small 31 gauge needle and we use a new needle for every area treated.

How Many units do people usually get?

How Long Does It Last?

Neuromodulator injections generally last about 3 months, but everyone metabolizes it differently so some people could be less and some more.

How Fast does it kick in?

Some people start noticing the effects of injections in a few days, but it takes a full 14 days for the final results.

Is “Botox” Safe?

Yes! Botox has been used cosmetically for over 20 years. And with the right fully trained injector it is completely safe.

Which Procedures can be combined?

VI peels and Botox can be done at the same time and it is called a “tox booster.” The 2 work synergistically to increase the results of both the tox and the peel. Micro needling cannot be combined with either tox or VI peel. Allow at least 2 weeks in between micro needling and peels or tox injections
